    January 9th, 2009 at 00:55:16 That's what I'm saying. The 4 I.D. landed at the right beach. General Roosevelt realised they were a landing sector off but went up nonetheless. Nobody "landed on the wrong beach", but every assault force including the British and Canadians experienced trouble with landing craft. Its to be expected considering its the Channel and the LVCPs are a flat-bottomed aircraft. But then, I read this in a real-live book on the event by Stephen E. Ambrose. I'm sure your sources are impeccable.

    January 9th, 2009 at 02:27:12 The 4th I.D. was meant for Utah Beach. The 1st and 29th at Omaha. At Utah Beach everything went pretty close to schedule. The winds were blowing easterly so if anything the 4th Div would've landed at Omaha or Pointe Du Hoc, which never happened. If anybody had the most drastic landing it was the soldiers at Omaha, but they never went as far as to land on the wrong beach.

Sure, Britain beat Operation Sea Lion, but Montgomery could never get the upper hand in North Africa. It was the US that kept Britain alive during those days. I won't be ignorant and say that the US did it all. That is quite far from the truth. The fact is that WWII was won by the collective efforts of all the allies. All of you, however, are forgetting that the US was almost entirely alone in the pacific.

If Britain hadn't fought off invasion the Allies would never have been able to mount D-Day or any mediterranean operations, plus the Germans and Russians would've signed a new agreement based on the Allies inability to land in Europe. But the Americans landed on all the right beaches at D-Day. Omaha beach just happened to be geographically and militarily well defended. There was a mix up with landing zones but this happened with the Brits and Canadians too.

He fed the nazis all sort of bollox which made them make all the wrong decisions right up to and including D Day. He even told USA in Aug that the Japs were going to do Pearl Harbour and yet tye yanks failed to act. 3 months later, Pearl happened. Also RAF have whacked the USA a few times in Red Flag exercises. Cant wait for Raptor V Typhoon. Should be good!!

Britain won in the battle of britain, The confilict in africa against Romel and the atlantic against the U-boat with radar and some deadly german battle ships like the bismark. Sure u sent us supplies but what your forgetting is who invented the supplies u sent, i.e the Tank, bolt action rifel etc... i'll give you a clue. britain did.

Also the U.S provided most to all of British war supplies so shut the fuck up. The United States provided the turning point of the war, without the U.S, Britain would've been Nazi territory.
