I think it arranges them to see 95% of their own people lack money, keeps them in power. To them, I'm sure, when they hear that the country will receive foreign aid, they call among each other and say "paycheck time!"

Just look online for organizations that have done this before and suggest to your church, school or organization to do the same. I know this is a month late... but yep there is many things that one can do to help. lots of people want you to believe that outsiders can do nothing and that the suffering of hatians is normal and inevitable however all it really takes to help is a strong commitment, knowledge and love. My heart breaks 4 them, but I get 2 go 2 a home with food, a bed, and clothes. Theyre grateful for what little they have. It humbles me and reminds me how blessed i am.
