Great song and the first time in a long time where I've actually heard a band sound passionate and authentic like they really care about what their singing. That's great, it's about time there was some authentic music out there that really moves people instead of all this poppy, phony bullshit. Arcade Fire rules, there should be more music out there like this. It also reminds me alot of Echo and the Bunnymen. Arcade Fire kicks ass, good for them.

Am so in love with this song...cant explain it, its just a thing...it builds up so well throughout the song, and I think that anyone who can listen to this and not get emotional needs their head checking!!!!!:)

i think the creepy thing is the fact that this is a black/white-shock schock movie ( = missing frames) and the casting was not based on the looks of people

I think what's creepy about it is all the people running away and getting shot.

Yes they are a very current band out of Montreal, they get alot of their influence from Bob Dylan clearly. Very cultured music.
Other ones to listen to would be Rebellion (lies), No Cars Go, Blackwave-Bad Vibrations, and Wake Up.

They are pretty currant, I could be wrong but I think this song is from their second album released last year
As far as what to check out, I don't think they have made a bad song so listen to the all! A good start would be "no cars go" from the same album!

I never heard of this band before. Somehow I came across this while searching for something else, but I'm so glad that I stopped to watch. The beautiful lyrics and his candid voice really came together splendidly. I am looking up Arcade Fire all tonight. Is this a contemporary band or something a little older? And what songs/albums do you recommend?

January 9th, 2009 at 09:42:36 This song creates a lot of great visuals. Eisenstein was great choice for a pairing. Sad but hopeful too?
