which part of cocorosie's music is "full of cliche" or has "already been done"?
also, good luck finding artists who don't long to return to the mindset of the their childhood sometimes

If these people are so free minded, why is their music and style full of cliche? Do they think that if they glom together enough pieces of what's already been done that it will appear new? Most of this type of people aren't actually free thinkers, just horribly obsessed with a nostalgia for childhood, and usually having a fantastic tho laughable understanding of certain "golden tinged" periods in history. Hollywood done zapped yer brains!

haha. i don't think it's weird. the concept that people are acting like themselves and we get to see layers and layers removed over their artistic en devours and transformations or perfection or whatever, i think people striving for that is strange only in the context that people don't do that. or we do it in manufactured ways through consumerism which is dictated by advertising and gender norms.
i see these people as artists. I think this crowd is hitting a collective heart right on the head!

but where have you herd any of their political ideas? you can kinda notice them in their behavior, acts and whatnot. but i have never heard them say anything outright political.
devandra is from Venezuela. i would like to know what he thinks of it today. or even with cocorosie living in Europe, i wonder why they prefer to live there or have views about record labels or war or art, whatever.
the thing about hippies is that they operate beyond our scope of society. they live in utopia.

at first i think bianca drew hers on. the more video i see of her, the more it seems like she shaves her upper lip so there is darker & thicker hair. she probably goes through waxing it to make it smooth or shaving it to make it thick and pronounced.
i used to wax my lip but i started settling in w/ it being more pronounced. not terribly dark, but noticeable. people like it too. if you shave it or kept waxing it, it would get darker and thicker. i mean that is usually the nature of hair.

yeah. i want to know. but from some interviews and from descriptions of what a k-hole is... i would suspect they favor K. but what would i know. i shy away from drugs. but when i do take them i am always reminded how much they need to be a part of our lives. look at artists & philosophers.

The modern hippie: still as space-cased as ever, but with some twists: that devenda dork wearing a keffiyeh, that suicide belt design on the harp, devendra dork and his Charlie Manson demeanor.
No wonder the French love them.
Fucking hippies...even if they sometimes make good music they are political dipshits.
