Stevie played the guitar almost any way. With his teeth, behind his back, and with his elbow, behind his neck...
He could even play it that it looks like that he is playing an violin as well. He was totally like from another plaenet. Trully one of a kind.

He actually does play it behind his back I've seen him do it.

You think he isn't better than Hendrix because he doesn't show off like an arrogant dick?

I love SRV.
He used piano wire for the bottom e string. Also he put more skin on his fingers but supergluing them and ripping skin off his arm.

Totally right. Heavier strings are harder to play and Stevie was always striking for the ultimate tone and sound. He was a guitar fanatic and he was fond of super heavy strings. That is what set him apart from others. He had that finesse, soul, passion, wild fire of speed and fire to rape the shit out of his guitar. Nobody could play Stevie's guitar and nobody could play on his setup and make it work right. He could play the guitar any way and at the same time doing it all on such huge strings.

he could even add complexity to hendrix songs, hendrix invented playing full chords with your thumb which opened up a shit load of possibilities cause you have more free fingers then barring, plus i think he was influenced greatly by hendrix which greatly influenced how he developed as a guitarist, i think they even each other out, imagine if they jammed, fuck!

First, I would suggest picking up the book "Hal Leonard's Incredible Scale Finder." It's really helpful to learn scales, and that's what you'll need to get started. Go through and learn the penatonic, blues, and major scales. Those are the easiest and most commonly used. My last suggestion would be to take a few guitar lessons, so a teacher can explain to you how it all works. It's not just memorizing and BAM! you can play. There's a lot of work invloved.

No he was way better than Hendrix.
He had the heaviest strings he could get plus jumbo frets which both make playing much harder.
Plus he never ever ever ever looked at his hands which I dont think Hendrix did either but nonetheless.
Go listen to rude mood and see what you think then.
