Oh man! I saw and met these fine gentlemen when I was a teenager. I LOVE THEM!! Although people must know that they travel together, but they don't 'play' together anymore, cuz they don't like each other anymore.

Fantastic stuff, and I say that as admirer of both Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee and Pete Seeger. Love the way Pete bites his lip at the beginning, as if he's thinking, "Man, these guys are *good*."
Thanks so much for all these excerpts from "Rainbow Quest".

Ah Pete Seager, The father of the Nevue American Revolution! Black list I believe for his work with Civil Rights, as well as workers rights and unions.

Stop listening to yourself. Just sing. Sounds crazy but it works. I am not the best singer but people like what I do. When I stopped worrying about what I sounded like to other people and just sang like me, people all of a sudden took notice.

There is a story of a world renowned concert pianist who had incredibly small hands. When an interviewer asked how he did such amazing things with such small hands he responded "Who plays with their hands?" I mean that Blues, or any other form of music for that matter, is less of a music form than it is a form of catharsis. Black or white if you got um and you let um out that way then the audience will feel it with you.
