    January 9th, 2009 at 09:08:32 Bill Nye came to my school when I was in 3rd grade and did a lot of these same experiments. This was a few years before he had the TV show. Honestly, this broadcast of Almost Live could have been the first time he was introduced as "the Science Guy" so that is probably why it was so "awkward" according to some of you. It wasn't as polished as the highly produced stuff you are use to seeing. Long Live Bill Nye!
