Awesome project! So what if it's overkill? I'm sure you had fun building it, and the kids had some fun with it too.

Perhaps it's just that a kid of that age doesn't actually understand how much technology goes behind a project like this.

Nice work, but it kinda shows the generation gap in excitement levels. The adult is awed by the tech and couldn't be prouder, while the little kid is bored already and looking for something else to play with. It's like the way Gramps is still amazed by TV sets, but his grandkids think they should be bigger and more interactive.

OK, I have a question: Why? When I watch this I can't help but think that this whole thing is kinda like blending a milkshake with the propellor from a Cessna. You have a thoroughly whipped milkshake, but what's the point?

I was able to see some of this project as it was being built; it involved a rather impressive amount of work and creative thinking. Great memories for the kids, if they can sleep at night.
January 8th, 2009 at 14:19:35 damn that's awesome
January 8th, 2009 at 14:42:34 This goes beyond amazing... The time it must of took perfecting your sensors screen, wiring. Man....
January 8th, 2009 at 15:05:33 A challenge. A project. An experience. Need I continue?
